In Monday's league outing, the host Triton Hawks soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the Southern Lee Cavaliers.

The Hawks (1-6) will now prepare for their outing against West Johnston (Benson, NC). The Wildcats enter the Carolina Pines 6A outing with a 3-9 record. In their last outing, West Johnston was edged by Lee County (Sanford, NC), 4-3, in a league outing.

Next up, the Cavaliers confront the South Johnston Trojans (Four Oaks, NC) in a Carolina Pines 6A outing, on Wednesday, September 17. Southern Lee will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Trojans go into the outing with a 4-3 record after their 2-0 league win over Union Pines (Cameron, NC).
