The Valwood Valiants triumphed over the visiting Echols County Wildcats softball squad by a count of 8-1 in Monday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Valiants play the Tiftarea Academy Panthers (Chula, GA) in a GIAA Class AAA & AAAA District 3 challenge, on Tuesday, September 16. Valwood will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 12-0 league win over Brookwood (Thomasville, GA).

The Wildcats (3-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Turner County (Ashburn, GA). The Titans enter the 1A D-II Region 2 challenge with a 2-13 record. In their last challenge, Turner County was routed by Dougherty (Albany, GA), 23-19, in a non-league challenge.
