Platte County Pirates (Platte City, MO) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad knock off the host Raytown Bluejays (Raytown, MO), 15-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Pirates play the Fort Osage Indians (Independence, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 16. Platte County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Indians enter the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 13-0 non-league loss to Grain Valley (Grain Valley, MO).

The Bluejays (2-3) will now prepare for their battle against Ruskin (Kansas City, MO). The Golden Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record.
