The Chelmsford Lions (North Chelmsford, MA) volleyball held off the host Methuen Rangers (Methuen, MA), 3-2 in Monday's league bout.

The Lions now possess a 5-0 record. They play next when they host Haverhill for a Merrimack Valley I bout on Wednesday, September 17. Chelmsford will clash with a Hillies team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Andover (Andover, MA). The Hillies record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Methuen falls to 5-2 on the year. The Rangers travel to Central Catholic (Lawrence, MA) to confront the Raiders in a Merrimack Valley I match on Wednesday, September 17.
