Winthrop Vikings (Winthrop, MA) followers left the game satisfied Monday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Gloucester Fishermen (Gloucester, MA), 3-0 in a league outing.

The Vikings now have a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Saugus for a Northeast outing on Tuesday, September 16. Winthrop will play a Sachems team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Wilmington (Wilmington, MA). The Sachems record now stands at 2-2.
