In Monday's non-league challenge, the visiting Noxapater Tigers volleyball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Kosciusko Whippets.

The Tigers (7-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Leake County (Walnut Grove, MS). The Gators enter the Class 1A Region 5 challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Leake County was tipped by McAdams (McAdams, MS), 3-0, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Whippets face the Louisville Wildcats (Louisville, MS) in a Class 4A Region 4 test, on Tuesday, September 16. Kosciusko will attempt to improve on its 3-16 season record. The Wildcats go into the test with a 3-8 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Heritage Academy (Columbus, MS).
