California High School Volleyball - La Quinta bounced by Palm Desert

Palm Desert Aztecs (Palm Desert, CA) boosters left the game thrilled Monday as they observed their volleyball team overcome the host La Quinta Blackhawks (La Quinta, CA), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Aztecs (16-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Rancho Mirage (Rancho Mirage, CA). The Rattlers enter the Desert Empire challenge with a 5-7 record. In their last challenge, Rancho Mirage was beaten by Xavier Prep (Palm Desert, CA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Blackhawks face the Palm Springs Indians (Palm Springs, CA) in a Desert Empire outing, on Wednesday, September 17. La Quinta will attempt to upgrade on its 2-17 season record. The Indians go into the game with a 13-4 record after their 3-1 league win over Shadow Hills (Indio, CA).
