The Union Local Jets volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Martins Ferry Purple Riders to 0 in the Jets non-league triumph on Monday.

The Jets now possess a 8-4 record. They play next when they travel to Oak Glen for a non-league game on Tuesday, September 16. Union Local will confront a Golden Bears squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Boardman (Youngstown, OH). The Golden Bears record now stands at 12-5.

The Purple Riders (8-4) will now prepare for their game against Beaver Local (Lisbon, OH). The Beavers enter the non-league game with a 11-0 record. In their last game, Beaver Local gained a win over Indian Creek (Wintersville, OH), 3-0, in a non-league game.
