North Clarion Wolves (Tionesta, PA) backers were pleased Monday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Oil City Oilers (Oil City, PA), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Wolves (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Clarion-Limestone (Strattanville, PA). The Lions come into the Keystone Shortway challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, Clarion-Limestone lost by Somerset (Somerset, PA), 1-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Oilers play the Grove City Eagles (Grove City, PA) in a District 10 Region 3 challenge, on Tuesday, September 16. Oil City will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Kennedy Catholic (Hermitage, PA).
