The West Stokes Wildcats volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Rockingham County Cougars to 1 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Monday.

The Wildcats now have a 3-6 record. They play next when they host Surry Central for a Northwest 3A/4A outing on Tuesday, September 16. West Stokes will play a Golden Eagles team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 7-4.

The Cougars (3-10) will now prepare for their game against Bartlett Yancey (Yanceyville, NC). The Buccaneers enter the Mid-State 3A/4A/5A game with a 6-1 record. In their last game, Bartlett Yancey gained a win over Carver (Winston-Salem, NC), 3-0, in a league game.
