Coronado Cougars (Colorado Springs, CO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Woodland Park Panthers (Woodland Park, CO), 12-0 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 10-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mesa Ridge for a 4A/3A Co. Springs Metro South challenge on Tuesday, September 21. Coronado will battle a Grizzlies squad coming off a 18-2 league win over Canon City (Canon City, CO). The Grizzlies record now stands at 9-9.

With the loss, Woodland Park falls to 6-9 on the campaign. The Panthers host Pine Creek (Colorado Springs, CO) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 18. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 2-8. Pine Creek lost 16-3 in their recent league challenge against Vista Ridge (Colorado Springs, CO)
