The Alexander Central Cougars volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Draughn Wildcats to 0 in the Cougars non-league victory on Thursday.

The Cougars now have a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Watauga for a Northwestern 3A/4A game on Monday, September 20. Alexander Central will meet a Pioneers team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Foard (Newton, NC). The Pioneers record now stands at 8-3.

The Wildcats (7-5) will now prepare for their game against McDowell (Marion, NC). The Titans enter the non-league game with a 0-5 record.
