North Carolina High School Volleyball - Watauga nudged by Foard

September 16, 2021: Boone, NC 28607

The Watauga Pioneers volleyball team (Boone, NC), was nudged 3-2 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the visiting Foard Tigers (Newton, NC)

The Tigers (9-1) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Stephens (Hickory, NC). The Indians enter the Western Foothills 3A challenge with a 3-7 record. In their last challenge, St. Stephens was nudged by Asheville Christian Academy (Swannanoa, NC), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Pioneers encounter the Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A challenge, on Monday, September 20. Watauga will attempt to move on its 8-3 season record. The Cougars enter the challenge with a 6-1 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Draughn (Valdese, NC).
