West Virginia High School Volleyball - Greenbrier East tips Independence

In Thursday's non-league contest, the Greenbrier East Spartans (Lewisburg, WV) volleyball squad edged the visiting Independence Patriots (Coal City, WV), by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Greenbrier East upgrades its record to 12-2 on the year. The Spartans host Independence (Coal City, WV) to face the Patriots in a non-league outing on Thursday, September 16. The Patriots go into the outing with a record of 2-4. Independence lost 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against Woodrow Wilson (Beckley, WV)

The Patriots now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Greenbrier East for a non-league outing on Thursday, September 16. Independence will face a Spartans squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over James Monroe (Lindside, WV). The Spartans record now stands at 10-2.
