The Lamar Vikings (Arlington, TX) volleyball overcame the host Sam Houston Texans (Arlington, TX), 3-1 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Lamar upgrades its record to 6-20 on the year. The Vikings host Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX) to face the Gophers in a 6A Region I District 8 outing on Tuesday, September 20. The Gophers go into the outing with a record of 5-10. Grand Prairie lost 3-0 in their recent league outing against South Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX)
