In Friday's league battle, the host Winston-Salem Christian Lions volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Piedmont Classical Bobcats.

The Lions (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Asheboro Hybrid Academy (Asheboro, NC). The Warriors come into the Greater Piedmont battle with a 3-4 record.

Next, the Bobcats encounter the New Garden Friends Bears (Greensboro, NC) in a Central Carolina - East test, on Tuesday, September 20. Piedmont Classical will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Bears enter the test with a 1-5 record after their 3-0 league loss to Millers Creek Christian (Millers Creek, NC).
