The Indian River Braves held off the visiting Western Branch Bruins volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Braves now have a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Oscar Smith for a non-league test on Wednesday, September 20. Indian River will confront a Tigers team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Great Bridge (Chesapeake, VA). The Tigers record now stands at 1-5.

The Bruins (5-7) will now prepare for their test against Matoaca (Chesterfield, VA). The Warriors enter the non-league test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Matoaca held off Highland Springs (Highland Springs, VA), 2-0, in a non-league test.
