Lafayette Fighting Irish (St. Joseph, MO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Harrisonville Wildcats (Harrisonville, MO), 14-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Fighting Irish now own a 9-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cameron for a Class 3 District 16 challenge on Monday, September 18.

With the loss, Harrisonville falls to 5-15 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Warrensburg (Warrensburg, MO) to battle the Tigers in a Class 3 District 14 challenge on Tuesday, September 19. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 5-5. Warrensburg won 6-4 in their recent league challenge against Pleasant Hill (Pleasant Hill, MO)
