The Valley Tigers volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Ankeny Hawks to 1 in the Tigers non-league victory on Saturday.
The Tigers now have a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Urbandale for a non-league game on Tuesday, September 19. Valley will confront a J-Hawks team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Johnston (Johnston, IA). The J-Hawks record now stands at 5-7.
The Hawks (16-7) will now prepare for their game against Valley (West Des Moines, IA). The Tigers enter the CIML - Metro game with a 1-4 record. In their last game, Valley was nudged by Ankeny Centennial (Ankeny, IA), 3-1, in a league game.
