In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Cherokee Washington Braves volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Le Mars Bulldogs.

The Braves (15-2) will now prepare for their battle against Storm Lake (Storm Lake, IA). The Tornadoes come into the Lakes battle with a 4-10 record. In their last battle, Storm Lake lost by Estherville Lincoln Central (Estherville, IA), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Bulldogs clash with the Sioux City East Black Raiders (Sioux City, IA) in a Missouri River battle, on Tuesday, September 19. Le Mars will attempt to advance on its 4-8 season record. The Black Raiders come into the battle with a 4-4 record after their 2-1 non-league win over MOC-Floyd Valley (Orange City, IA).
