Illinois High School Volleyball - Metro-East Lutheran tips Gibault Catholic

Metro-East Lutheran Knights (Edwardsville, IL) supporters left the game in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the host Gibault Catholic Hawks (Waterloo, IL), 2-1 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Knights clash with the Tournament Opponent (, ) in a non-league match, on Saturday, September 16. Metro-East Lutheran will attempt to advance on its 7-12 season record. The come into the match with a 32-130 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Clinton (Clinton, TN).

With the loss, Gibault Catholic drops to 10-5 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to East Peoria (East Peoria, IL) to clash with the Raiders in a non-league match on Saturday, September 16. The Raiders come into the match with a record of 5-6. East Peoria lost 2-0 in their recent league match against Washington (Washington, IL)
