The Maize Eagles held off the visiting Valley Center Hornets volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Eagles now have a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Valley Center for a non-league test on Saturday, September 16. Maize will confront a Hornets team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Arkansas City (Arkansas City, KS). The Hornets record now stands at 10-5.

The Hornets (10-6) will now prepare for their test against Maize (Maize, KS). The Eagles enter the non-league test with a 6-7 record. In their last test, Maize held off Haysville Campus (Wichita, KS), 2-0, in a non-league test.
