West Virginia High School Volleyball - Philip Barbour tips Washington

The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Philip Barbour Colts (Philippi, WV) and the visiting Washington Patriots (Charles Town, WV), saw Philip Barbour's volleyball squad nip Washington by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Philip Barbour upgrades its record to 14-4 on the year. The Colts host Ripley (Ripley, WV) to play the Vikings in a Mountain State bout on Tuesday, September 19. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 13-5. Ripley won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Roane County (Spencer, WV)

The Patriots now own a 0-8 record. They play next when they host Spring Mills for a Eastern Panhandle bout on Tuesday, September 19. Washington will play a Cardinals squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Jefferson (Shenandoah Junction, WV). The Cardinals record now stands at 8-6.
