The Portland Panthers volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Westmoreland Eagles to 0 in the Panthers non-league victory on Saturday.

The Panthers now have a 8-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Beech for a AAA District 12 game on Monday, September 18. Portland will confront a Buccaneers team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Station Camp (Gallatin, TN). The Buccaneers record now stands at 8-9.

The Eagles (6-12) will now prepare for their game against Smith County (Carthage, TN). The Owls enter the A District 8 game with a 6-12 record. In their last game, Smith County dropped by East Robertson (Cross Plains, TN), 3-0, in a league game.
