The crowd at Saturday's league bout between the Storm Lake Tornadoes (Storm Lake, IA) and the visiting Spencer Tigers (Spencer, IA), saw Storm Lake's volleyball squad beat Spencer by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Storm Lake upgrades its record to 4-9 on the year. The Tornadoes travel to South Central Calhoun (Lake City, IA) to play the Titans in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 16. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 17-9. South Central Calhoun won 3-0 in their recent league bout against West Bend-Mallard (West Bend, IA)

The Tigers now own a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Newell-Fonda for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 19. Spencer will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Carroll (Carroll, IA). The Mustangs record now stands at 8-5.
