Bassett Bengals (Bassett, VA) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA), 3-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Bassett improves its record to 3-5 on the season. The Bengals host Martinsville (Martinsville, VA) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 17. The Bulldogs go into the test with a record of 0-1.

The Golden Eagles now own a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Roanoke Catholic for a non-league test on Thursday, September 19. Staunton River will face a Celtics squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Chatham Hall (Chatham, VA). The Celtics record now stands at 7-7.
