With the win, James River improves its record to 5-3 on the season. The Knights travel to Carroll County (Hillsville, VA) to encounter the Cavaliers in a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 17. The Cavaliers go into the battle with a record of 0-4.

The Gladiators now own a 1-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Buffalo Gap for a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 17. Riverheads will encounter a Bison squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Nelson County (Lovingston, VA). The Bison record now stands at 3-4.
