In Monday's league outing, the visiting Polk County Wolverines soccer squad scored a tight 3-2 victory over the Hendersonville Bearcats.

The Wolverines (6-2) will now prepare for their outing against R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC). The Hilltoppers go into the Mountain Foothills Seven 2A outing with a 4-4 record. In their last outing, R-S Central was edged by Brevard (Brevard, NC), 3-1, in a league outing.

Next up, the Bearcats confront the Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC) in a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A outing, on Wednesday, September 18. Hendersonville will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Trojans go into the outing with a 3-5 record after their 1-0 league loss to East Rutherford (Forest City, NC).
