Chattooga Indians (Summerville, GA) supporters left the game thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad topple the host Coosa Eagles (Rome, GA), 14-0 in a league game.

With the triumph, Chattooga improves its record to 8-8 on the year. The Indians travel to Christian Heritage (Dalton, GA) to play the Lions in a 1A D-I Region 7 game on Tuesday, September 17. The Lions enter the game with a record of 6-10. Christian Heritage won 10-6 in their recent non-league game against Pepperell (Lindale, GA)

The Eagles now hold a 0-13 record. They play next when they host Fannin County for a 1A D-I Region 7 game on Tuesday, September 17. Coosa will play a Rebels squad coming off a 16-1 league win over Gordon Central (Calhoun, GA). The Rebels record now stands at 9-1.
