In Monday's league match, the visiting Checotah Wildcats softball team scored a nice 14-3 win over the Sallisaw Black Diamonds.

The Wildcats (17-9) will now prepare for their match against Fort Gibson (Fort Gibson, OK). The Tigers come into the 4A District 6 match with a 10-9 record. In their last match, Fort Gibson notched a victory over McAlester (McAlester, OK), 14-1, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Black Diamonds confront the Muldrow Bulldogs (Muldrow, OK) in a 4A District 6 match, on Tuesday, September 17. Sallisaw will attempt to better on its 2-16 season record. The Bulldogs come into the match with a 8-13 record after their 4-1 non-league loss to Warner (Warner, OK).
