In Monday's non-league test, the Taylor County Vikings (Butler, GA) softball squad overwhelmed the host Lamar County Trojans (Barnesville, GA), by a count of 12-0.
Next, the Vikings meet the Schley County Wildcats (Ellaville, GA) in a 1A D-II Region 6 test, on Thursday, September 19. Taylor County will attempt to upgrade on its 14-6 season record. The Wildcats go into the test with a 7-9 record after their 7-4 non-league win over Hawkinsville (Hawkinsville, GA).
The Trojans (9-9) will now prepare for their test against McNair (Atlanta, GA). The Mustangs go into the 1A D-I Region 4 test with a 0-4 record. In their last test, McNair was routed by Jasper County (Monticello, GA), 19-0, in a league test.
