The Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes softball team scored 2 runs and held the host Prince Avenue Christian Wolverines to 1 in the Purple Hurricanes non-league win on Monday.

The Purple Hurricanes now possess a 13-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Hall for a 3A Region 8 battle on Tuesday, September 17. Monroe Area will confront a Spartans team coming off a 11-3 non-league loss to Fannin County (Blue Ridge, GA). The Spartans record now stands at 3-16.

With the loss, Prince Avenue Christian moves to 13-4 on the season. The Wolverines host Hebron Christian (Dacula, GA) to confront the Lions in a 2A Region 8 battle on Tuesday, September 17. The Lions come into the battle with a record of 18-2. Hebron Christian lost 4-1 in their recent non-league battle against Gordon Lee (Chickamauga, GA)
