The Ashbrook Greenwave topped the visiting Bessemer City Yellow Jackets volleyball squad by a final score of 3-0 in Monday's non-league game.

Next up, the Greenwave face the South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC) in a Big South 3A game, on Tuesday, September 17. Ashbrook will attempt to advance on its 4-3 season record. The Red Raiders go into the game with a 4-7 record after their 3-0 league loss to Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC).

The Yellow Jackets (0-13) will now prepare for their game against East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC). The Warriors go into the Southern Piedmont 1A/2A game with a 10-4 record. In their last game, East Gaston went down by Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC), 3-1, in a league game.
