Virginia High School Volleyball - Martinsville overwhelmed by Patrick County

September 16, 2024: Martinsville, VA 24112

Patrick County Cougars (Stuart, VA) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Martinsville Bulldogs (Martinsville, VA), 3-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Patrick County improves its record to 6-2 on the season. The Cougars host Floyd County (Floyd, VA) to face the Buffaloes in a Three Rivers test on Tuesday, September 17. The Buffaloes go into the test with a record of 4-4. Floyd County lost 3-0 in their recent non-league contest against Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA)

Next, the Bulldogs battle the Bassett Bengals (Bassett, VA) in a Piedmont contest, on Tuesday, September 17. Martinsville will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Bengals enter the contest with a 3-5 record after their 5-2 non-league win over Staunton River (Moneta, VA).
