In Monday's league challenge, the visiting Tishomingo County Braves volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Ripley Tigers.

The Braves (11-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Amory (Amory, MS). The Panthers come into the Class 4A Region 1 challenge with a 15-12 record. In their last challenge, Amory edged Itawamba Agricultural (Fulton, MS), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Tigers play the New Albany Bulldogs (New Albany, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 19. Ripley will attempt to upgrade on its 11-11 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 20-7 record after their 3-0 league win over South Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS).
