In Monday's non-league challenge, the host Varela Vipers volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the South Dade Buccaneers.
The Vipers (7-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Goleman (Miami, FL). The Gators come into the non-league challenge with a 10-3 record. In their last challenge, Goleman beat Hialeah-Miami Lakes (Hialeah, FL), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Buccaneers meet the Southridge Spartans (Miami, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 23. South Dade will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 3-1 league win over Homestead (Homestead, FL).
