California High School Flag Football - Alameda can't hold off Berkeley

Berkeley Yellowjackets (Berkeley, CA) fans went home in high spirits Tuesday as they saw their flag football team tip the host Alameda Hornets (Alameda, CA), 7-6 in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Yellowjackets play the Carondelet Cougars (Concord, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 19. Berkeley will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Cougars go into the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 59-0 non-league win over Sonoma Valley (Sonoma, CA).

The Hornets (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Encinal (Alameda, CA). The Jets go into the West Alameda County - Foothill challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last test, Encinal was nipped by James Logan (Union City, CA), 20-0, in a league test.
