Illinois High School Flag Football - Lyons sneaks past Naperville Central

September 16, 2025: LaGrange, IL 60525

In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Lyons Lions flag football squad scored a close 9-7 triumph over the Naperville Central Redhawks.

The Lions (10-1) will now prepare for their match against Proviso West (Hillside, IL). The Panthers come into the match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, Proviso West was nudged by Hinsdale Central (Hinsdale, IL), 34-23, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Redhawks meet the DeKalb Barbs (DeKalb, IL) in a non-league match, on Thursday, September 18. Naperville Central will attempt to upgrade on its 6-1 season record. The Barbs go into the battle with a 3-3 record after their 7-6 non-league loss to Naperville North (Naperville, IL).
