Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes (Wilmington, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host John Paul II Catholic Saints (Greenville, NC), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Hurricanes (4-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Arendell Parrott Academy (Kinston, NC). The Patriots come into the challenge with a 0-10 record. In their last challenge, Arendell Parrott Academy went down by Grace Christian (Sanford, NC), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Saints now sport a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Coastal Christian for a test on Thursday, September 18. John Paul II Catholic will face a Centurions squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Wayne Christian (Goldsboro, NC). The Centurions record now stands at 7-4.
