The Chesterton Trojans volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Merrillville Pirates to 0 in the Trojans league triumph on Tuesday.

The Trojans now have a 16-4 record. They play next when they host La Porte for a game on Thursday, September 18. Chesterton will confront a Slicers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Lake Central (St. John, IN). The Slicers record now stands at 8-5.

The Pirates (0-2) will now prepare for their game against Crown Point (Crown Point, IN). The Bulldogs go into the game with a 12-3 record. In their last game, Crown Point defeated Michigan City (Michigan City, IN), 2-0, in a league outing.
