In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Davis Pirates volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Moses Lake Mavericks.

The Pirates (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Eisenhower (Yakima, WA). The Cadets come into the non-league challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Eisenhower was nudged by Sunnyside (Sunnyside, WA), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Mavericks face the West Valley Rams (Yakima, WA) in a non-league test, on Thursday, September 18. Moses Lake will attempt to advance on its 3-1 season record. The Rams go into the test with a 1-2 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Wenatchee (Wenatchee, WA).
