Hayesville Yellowjackets (Hayesville, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Yellowjackets (12-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Swain County (Bryson City, NC). The Maroon Devils come into the challenge with a 8-4 record. In their last test, Swain County gained a win over Highlands (Highlands, NC), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Bulldogs now sport a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cherokee for a non-league test on Thursday, September 18. Murphy will face a Braves squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Andrews (Andrews, NC). The Braves record now stands at 4-2.
