Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the Johnston Panthers (Johnston, RI) and the visiting Cranston East Thunderbolts (Cranston, RI), saw Johnston's soccer squad hold off Cranston East by a count of 2-1.

The Panthers (5-2) will now prepare for their battle against Exeter-West Greenwich (West Greenwich, RI). The Scarlet Knights enter the Division 3 battle with a 0-5 record. In their last battle, Exeter-West Greenwich was edged by Westerly (Westerly, RI), 3-1, in a league match.

The Thunderbolts now sport a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Times Squared Academy for a Division 3 match on Friday, September 19.
