In Tuesday's non-league outing, the visiting PikeView Panthers soccer squad scored a tight 3-0 victory over the James Monroe Mavericks.

The Panthers (6-3) will now prepare for their outing against Mingo Central (Matewan, WV). The Miners go into the non-league outing with a 0-4 record. In their last test, Mingo Central Tug Valley (Williamson, WV), 1-1, in a non-league test.

The Mavericks now have a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Midland Trail for a Coalfield AA test on Thursday, September 18. James Monroe will clash with a Patriots team coming off a 10-0 league win over Westside (Clear Fork, WV). The Patriots record now stands at 3-4.
