Merrill Bluejays (Merrill, WI) fans went home in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their soccer squad knock off the host Rhinelander Hodags (Rhinelander, WI), 3-0 in a non-league outing.

The Bluejays (3-2) will now prepare for their outing against Lakeland (Minocqua, WI). The Thunderbirds go into the non-league outing with a 5-0 record. In their last outing, Lakeland got by Medford (Medford, WI), 6-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Hodags play the Northland Pines Eagles (Eagle River, WI) in a Great Northern bout, on Thursday, September 18. Rhinelander will attempt to improve on its 0-6 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 1-0 league loss to Antigo (Antigo, WI).
