The Holden Eagles softball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Lafayette County Huskers to 2 in the Eagles non-league win on Tuesday.
The Eagles now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Richmond for a non-league test on Thursday, September 18. Holden will meet a Spartans squad coming off a 17-0 non-league loss to Carrollton (Carrollton, MO). The Spartans record now stands at 1-1.
The Huskers (7-6) will now prepare for their test against St. Michael the Archangel (Lee's Summit, MO). The Guardians go into the non-league test with a 9-4 record. In their last outing, St. Michael the Archangel got by Warrensburg (Warrensburg, MO), 7-6, in a non-league outing.
