The Polk County Slammers softball squad (Stromsburg, NE), was routed 16-0 in Tuesday's non-league contest with the host Kearney Catholic Stars (Kearney, NE)

With the triumph, Kearney Catholic advances its record to 14-3 on the campaign. The Stars host Gothenburg (Gothenburg, NE) to battle the Swedes in a C District bout on Tuesday, September 16. The Swedes go into the bout with a record of 8-7. Gothenburg won 10-0 in their recent league bout against Chase County (Imperial, NE)

In their next game, the Slammers battle the Gothenburg Swedes (Gothenburg, NE) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, September 16. Polk County will attempt to improve on its 3-12 season record. The Swedes enter the contest with a 8-7 record after their 10-0 league win over Chase County (Imperial, NE).
