Next, the Panthers play the Jenkins County War Eagles (Millen, GA) in a 1A D-II Region 3 challenge, on Thursday, September 18. Portal will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The War Eagles enter the challenge with a 7-8 record after their 3-2 league win over Bryan County (Pembroke, GA).

The Gamecocks (8-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Emanuel County Institute (Twin City, GA). The Bulldogs come into the 1A D-II Region 3 battle with a 16-2 record. In their last battle, Emanuel County Institute nipped Greenbrier (Evans, GA), 11-6, in a non-league battle.
