The Bruins (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Kinston (Kinston, NC). The Vikings go into the Eastern Plains 2A/3A battle with a 0-10 record. In their last battle, Kinston dropped by Farmville Central (Farmville, NC), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Vikings now own a 2-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ayden - Grifton for a Eastern Plains 2A/3A battle on Thursday, September 18. Tarboro will encounter a Chargers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over South Central (Winterville, NC). The Chargers record now stands at 9-5.
