The Pirates now possess a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to East Ridge for a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 23. Belfry will clash with a Warriors team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Prestonsburg (Prestonsburg, KY). The Warriors record now stands at 4-9.

With the loss, Martin County drops to 4-6 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Betsy Layne (Betsy Layne, KY) to clash with the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Thursday, September 18. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 9-8. Betsy Layne lost 3-1 in their recent league bout against Floyd Central (Eastern, KY)
